If God were a Pill, How Often Would you Take
Him?

Introduction:
There are people who pride
themselves on taking no medications at all. You can hear them say, “I don’t
take pills.” Even if the doctor suggests a medication, they say, “I don’t need
it.”
There are other who only take
their medication when something is hurting or they think something is wrong.
Now mind you, they are suppose to take it every day but they only take it when
they sense something is very wrong.
Then, others pride themselves on
how many pills they do take in a single day. I can here them say, “I take this
little yellow one for this, this blue one for this,” and they will go down
their list of medications describing each one and what it is for.
I want us to imagine today if God
were a pill, and He is certainly not, how would you take Him. There will be
some who say, “I don’t take pills.” There will be others who take it only when
they got a pain or a problem and then there will be other who take Him
faithfully every day.
If God were a pill, how would you
take Him? In order to help you decide, let me show you what the Bible says are
the effects of not taking Him at all, taking Him only with a problem, and
taking Him daily.

the end. Give me understanding, and I will keep your law and obey it with all
my heart. Direct me in the path of your commands, for there I find delight.
Conclusion:
If God
is a pill, and He is certainly is not, how would you take him- not at all, only
when you need to, or every day.
The side
effects are great only if you take Him every day.
